Forum Evolución Burgos
Project details
The auditorium and congress centre “FORUM EVOLUTION BURGOS” was built on grounds which once were home to the City of Bugos’ riding stables. The complex has room for congresses, exhibitions, concerts and theatre performances. The design is by the Spanish architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg. After five years, the construction was finished with the completion of the Auditorium in Spring 2012.
Waagner-Biro designed, supplied and installed the entire upper machinery for the convention centre with two halls in the record time of only six months. The large hall with about 1,500 seats and a stage area of 490m2 is equipped with 52 winches. The small hall, which seats 500 spectators, has 32 "Driving Axle" standing winches. 24 shaft hoists increase the system’s flexibility. The installed CAT V4 control system completes the state-of-the-art stage technology.
Thus, Burgos joins the list of those cities in Europe that have venues with the most advanced stage technology possible.
