With the complete refurbishment of the stage engineering at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville Luxembourg, Waagner-Biro has installed the most modern andcomprehensive stage in Luxemburg.
The system is characterised by a main stage consisting of five double floor lifting platforms (14 x 14 m / lift ±3.5 m) with a total dynamic useful load of 470 kN.Three of the platforms are equipped with table traps (1 x 9 m). Four compensating platforms for lowering the stage wagons are installed in the side and rear stages.
The rear stage has a transport platform used for scenic purposes with an area of 14 x 15 m and a dynamic useful load of 210 kN (static: 1,050 kN) on which the self-propelled cylindrical revolving wagon (ø 12.5 m) and the ballet wagon are parked. Two orchestra platforms with seat wagons are installed in the forestage. The fly system is equipped with 45 electrical and 27 manual counterweightwinches and a point winch system (12 winches).
